"Back to the U.S.A."

Peace, style #4053, a replacement for Garcia has hit the USA!! He first appeared at gift shows across the country at the Ty Booths. He also has been purchased in England and has travelled many miles to collectors in the USA!! Well, he arrived in several gift stores at Disney World on August 15, 1997. To be more specific, he was at the Wilderness Lodge and Fantasia gift shops in sunny Orlando, Florida.

The highest prices I have heard people paying for him at this time is $275.00. The sad news is Disney World is sold out of Peace and Doodle as of this weekend! Are we surprised? But never fear - all collectors will shortly have a chance to purchase PEACE for reasonable $$$$ very soon. I also have heard that a very large shipment is en route to the Minnesota area!! So as I have told many of you in Beanie Land, "Please be patient, Peace will be on the store shelves for the suggested retail price in the USA!!" Beanie hunting is very labor intensive. Peace will be sold out everywhere but keep hunting and you will find him. He is a big demand Beanie at the present time.

I am comfortable to report that the law suit regarding Peace was just another dumb rumor. I sincerely believed the Ty Company would deliver Peace to this great country. We will all have to compare the tags and see if these are Korea or China tags. If you were lucky enough to get Peace from England, check out the origin on the tush tags. The original Peace did say "Handmade in China".

While you are searching for Peace, you may be lucky enough to find a few Doodle left over from the warehouse without his new name Strut! Doodle is already selling on the secondary market for $50.00. His price will keep escalating because of the supply/demand theory. This little rooster is adorable and has always been hard to find!

Peace's birth date is 2-1-96. Here is his poem:
