The Rabbits

Ears the rabbit, style # 4018, was introduced to the Beanie Baby collection in January of 1996. This also was the 10 year birthday of Ty Inc. This adorable whiskered mammal was the first rabbit to make his debut in the 1996 Ty catalog. Ears' shares the same plush brown fabric with: Cubbie, Brown Teddy, Bucky, and Weenie. He has black eyes, pink whiskers and nose. He has a cute white cottontail! He has white fabric on his muzzle and inside his ears. Ears' proudly wears the third and fourth generation (poem)Ty tags. His birthday is April 18, 1995.

His poem is:

He's been eating carrots so long
Didn't understand what was wrong
Couldn't see the board during classes
Until the doctor gave him glasses!

On January 1, 1997, the three colored Bunnies joined Ears to make a rabbit family. The Bunny's all have the fourth generation (poem) Ty tags. All three Bunnies have pink whiskers, nose, and interior ears. The eyes are all black. However, I have noticed, the original Hippity (mint) had smaller eyes then the other bunnies! Hippity, style # 4119, celebrates his birthday on June 1, 1996. He wears a darker shade green satin ribbon.

Hippity's poem is:

Hippity is a cute little bunny
Dressed in green, he looks quite funny
Twitching his nose in the air
Sniffing a flower here and there!

Hoppity, (pink) style # 4117, celebrates her birth day on April 3, 1996. Her little whiskers have been seen in a bright and pale pink shades! Her satin ribbon is pale pink.

Hoppity's poem is:

Hopscotch is what she likes to play
If you don't join in, she'll hop away
So play a game if you have the time,
She likes to play, rain or shine!

Floppity, (lilac) style 4118, has a bunny birth day on May 28, 1996. The satin bow is the same color as this precious Beanie. Floppity's poem is:

Floppity hops from here to there
Searching for eggs without a care
Lavender coat from head to toe
All dressed up and nowhere to go!

In May of 1996, Ears was truly impossible to find. In the spring the Ty Company had the Beanies flown via 747 jets to the USA. The busy shoppers had all purchased Ears for Easter. I had the most difficult time finding this cute Baby!! Hippity at certain times was a difficult Beanie to find also!!
