The Ty's Website had the collectors glued to "Batty's Internet Diary" the times on October 29th were posted along with adorable messages from Batty for the announcement of yet another Beanie in the Nursery!!! At 6:55 p.m. the secret was revealed and Princess the Teddy is the all time ultimate!!!!!!! She is ROYAL PURPLE with a matching satin ribbon and a white embroidered rose! On Ty's website she looks like the Violet Teddy! At least the rumors about it being BLUE are not correct!!! We have to wait until she arrives to see if she is the same color as Violet or if she has a different fabric! Anne Nickels, the Ty Spokesperson was on WGN Radio Thursday, October 30, 1997 describing Princess and explaining that all the profits of Ty from this collectible would be donated to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund!! She also stated that this unique Teddy would be available in December of 1997!

My sister, Paula and I have both contributed old face Teddys to be auctioned off on Elaine and Kevin Smith's website, (LemonLainey) and the profits were tremendous and were donated to Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.
