Garcia, style # 4051, was introduced in January of 1996. Garcia has always been a BIG DEMAND BEANIE!!! Some of the later Garcia Tie-Dye Fabric is noticeably brighter! Garcia has always been difficult at times to acquire even prior to his retirement on May 11, 1997! Garcia's secondary price in November, 1997 is in the $50.00-$100.00 range. Garcia's birthday is: August 1, 1995. He has been seen wearing the third and fourth generation Ty tags.

Peace , style # 4053, was introduced on May 11, 1997 and originally released in England prior to the USA!!! The collectors were calling England to get the Peace Bear!! On April 1, 1997 the Ty Company was changing their ordering policy because of the overwhelming popularity and demand of the little critters that began spreading across the country. On August 15 of 1997, Peace showed up in masses at The Wilderness Lodge and Fantasia Gift Shops at Disney World in sunny Orlando, Florida!! The purchasing manager told me the Chicago Beanie Collectors were flying into Florida just to buy the sought after Peace!!!!

At this time the highest price Peace has been sold for is $275.00!!! The stores receive him and he is sold in minutes!! The rumors have been buzzing about a Peace Bear without the embroidered multicolor Peace sign. I attribute this to the many Beanie Baby authors at the time of printing did not have the Authentic Peace Bear and they were designing their own versions in black!! And of course the counterfeiters were gluing a black Peace sign on Garcia's chest and trying to pass this off as authentic!!! I have been lucky enough to be in a position to tell an honest and unsuspecting buyer to save their money and buy Peace from a retailer selling Ty Products!! The Ty Company may change the multicolor embroidered Peace sign down the road but the only Black Peace signs on Garcia that I have seen at the present time are fake!!!!
