BEANIE BABIES

"The Dinosaurs"

I cannot confirm this from the TY Company, but due to the popularity of the blockbuster movie Jurassic Park, maybe TY came out with the Dinosaur Collection. Steg (Stegosaurus) style #4087, he was the sick Dino in the movie. Steg the Beanie Baby is a multicolored earth tone tye dye creation. You can find this color in many retired Flutter the Butterfly, style #4043. Rex (Tyrannosaurus), style #4086, he was the main bad boy in the movie. Rex the Beanie is a multicolored creation with red, orange, pink and blue tie dye fabric. This color scheme is often used in Flutter too! The rarest of the three is Bronty (Brontosaurus), style #4085. This was the gentle and nice plant eater from the Box Office hit. Bronty the Beanie is a blue tie dye beauty. This same material was used on the most recently retired Sting the Manta Ray, style #4077.

For reasons known only by the Company, all the Dino's were retired in mid 1996. They only wore the third generation Ty tag. These little guys are still HOT! They are becoming harder to find and the prices have sky rocketed!!

Bronty, the rarest of the three, he had problems with his seams. He often times lost his little beans!! In mid January of 1997, he is selling in the price range of $50.00 - $75.00. Rex and Steg are in the $25.00 - $50.00 range. In November of 1997 Bronty is selling for $500.00 and Rex and Steg are selling in the $375.00 - $400.00 range!

Happy Beanie Hunting!!
